Assist Personal Activities High/ Community Nursing Care

At Koros Health Care, we are dedicated to providing our participants with dedicated and professional assistance with a variety of personal care. Our goal is to enable our participants or your loved one to live life to the fullest. This is done while meeting all your daily personal care and support needs in the most respectful and caring manner possible.

Complex Bowel Care (Enema):

A nurse from Koros Health Care is available to provide community nursing services to our NDIS participants who have challenges related to the functioning of their bowels. The services include assistance with the administration of enema as well as the development of personalized bowel management plans. As part of our commitment to meeting the needs of individuals with complex bowel care needs, we strive to ensure their comfort and well-being.

Enteral Feeding Support:

Our team of experienced and dedicated nurses provides nutritional support to NDIS participants who are on enteral feeding. Our services include nutritional advice, assistance with enteral feeding and maintenance, and information on dietary requirements. Together, we are committed to ensuring individuals receive proper nutrition while maintaining their safety and health.

Dysphagia Support:

Dysphagia, or difficulty swallowing, can cause a variety of difficulties. In conjunction with our speech pathologist, we provide our NDIS participants with dysphagia support services, including individualized care plans, swallowing treatment, texture-modified diets, and thickened liquids. We can assist individuals in improving their swallowing function and making mealtimes more enjoyable.

Ventilator Support:

The support of a ventilator is essential for patients requiring mechanical ventilation to breathe. Our nurses provide ventilator management as part of our services, which ensures patient safety and comfort. We provide respiratory therapy and 24-hour on-call support to NDIS participants who have respiratory concerns or emergencies.

Tracheostomy Support:

It is imperative that tracheostomy care be provided with specialized attention in order to ensure the safety of the airway. A significant component of our tracheostomy support service is the provision of care coordination, education, and 24-hour on-call support. As part of our mission, we strive to ensure that participants with tracheostomies receive the best possible care and support.

Urinary Catheter Support:

The urinary catheter support service is intended to provide assistance to NDIS participants individuals who require various types of urinary catheters, including in-dwelling, in-out, and suprapubic catheters. We provide urological care, catheterization, and self-care education as part of our services.

Subcutaneous Injections (including Diabetes Support):

Subcutaneous injections, particularly those administered to persons with diabetes, require careful management and administration. We provide subcutaneous injection administration and comprehensive diabetes management services. To ensure that diabetes-related needs are managed safely and effectively, we provide education and training to individuals and their support networks.

Seizure and Epilepsy Support:

Participants in the NDIS who suffer from seizures or epilepsy require specialized support. A wide range of seizure and epilepsy support services are provided by our clinic, including seizure management, medication management, education, and 24-hour on-call support for people with seizure disorders. To ensure that epilepsy patients can lead fulfilling lives, we prioritize health and safety to ensure that they are able to live a fulfilling life.

These high-intensity support services are delivered by our dedicated and trained team to meet the unique medical and healthcare needs of individuals.
