About the opportunity

The role of a Support Coordinator will involve:

  • Maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify, connect, and negotiate with appropriate service providers to deliver quality outcomes and timely services
  • Collaborating with participants to understand their needs and to increase their capacity to understand and navigate and optimise their NDIS plan.
  • Provide linkages to services of the participant’s choice, relevant to their needs and goals, to maintain relationships, manage everyday tasks, live more independently, and community involvement
  • Developing evidence and conducting research to support participants with NDIS plan reviews
  • Monitoring and maintaining Recovery Plus Support’s Customer Relationship Management system

About You, Your Skills & Experience 

 

You will draw upon your professional skills and demonstrate empathy, understanding and care to support our participants with their journey towards recovery and leading a self-sufficient and fulfilling life.

  • Effective and confident written and verbal communication skills
  • An understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and a passion for the Mental Health and Disability industry
  • Proactive attitude
  • Solutions oriented and adaptability
  • Strong organisational and digital capabilities
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge relating to psychosocial disabilities
  • The ability to manage an individual case load and perform tasks autonomously

Key selection criteria

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate IV in Mental Health or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field will be highly regarded as will professionally experience in the mental health field
  • Full Time Availability
  • Minimum probationary driver’s license
  • Evidence of COVID booster vaccination or valid medical exemption
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • NDIS Orientation Certificate
